Does Sugar Have You In A Chokehold? Let’s Find Out, Sis.

Have you noticed sugar detox programs dropping just like Beyoncé's surprise albums?

Maybe you’ve even wondered, Do I have a sugar addiction? 🤔

Well, Sis, let’s get real about it—because sugar is out here playing you like that toxic ex who keeps sliding into your DMs.

Signs You Might Be Addicted to Sugar

If the thought of a donut with your coffee or a “quick” croissant snack makes your heart skip a beat, it might not just be love—it could be addiction. And yes, even those “savory” snacks like cheesy bagels and chips- your body still breaks them down into you know what.

2. You keep eating even when you're full

You know that moment when your belly touches the table even though you're sitting up straight... but that last bite of cake is right there? If you’ve ever found yourself eating dessert like it’s your life’s mission, sugar may have you in a chokehold.

3. You eat sugar even when you KNOW you don’t need it

Dinner was balanced, you were satisfied… but an hour later, here comes the urge for some ice cream or chocolate. Are you really hungry, or is sugar out there trying to spin the block again?

The cookies are gone, the snack stash is empty—next thing you know, you’re making a “quick” grocery run just to restock. It’s giving Pookie from New Jack City, and that's not what you want for yourself, is it?

6. Sugar becomes your reward

“If I get through this work day, I deserve a slice of cheesecake.” Or maybe it’s, “Today was stressful, let me just grab these chips and soda for dinner.” Sound familiar? Sugar is out here playing the role of your therapist, and that's not in anyone's best interest.

7. You’ve got a secret stash, and you sneak bites when no one’s around

If you’ve ever stashed snacks in your desk drawer, the back of the pantry, or even your purse (yes, I see you), your sweet tooth might be running the show more than you think.
